landon lambert
Landon Lambert was born and raised in the Texas Panhandle, hailing from Childress, Texas, born in the Hall County Hospital, raised in a family that was heavily involved in agriculture and education. He played football for the Fighting Childress Bobcats and showed a talent for arguing with fence posts at a high level at a young age.
He attended Texas Tech University, majoring in Agricultural and Applied Economics and graduating with honors with a degree in Economics in 2000. He taught in the public school system in Plainview for a year and worked with Lubbock ISD until he started law school in 2002.
He graduated law school in 2005 and passed the bar exam on his first try. He moved to Clarendon, Texas where he had been residing in summers during law school and started farming with his best friend. When the large law firms didn’t come calling, Landon borrowed $5,000.00 from his mother, hung out his shingle, started his practice, and slept on a couch for a year. He was able to pay his mother back in less than six months and has been working in the law ever since.
He ran for Donley County Attorney and took office in late 2006 and has since been re-elected several times. He manages to balance his public duties in prosecuting misdemeanors, working with juvenile offenders, and some civil work, with his private practice which focuses primarily on family law, divorces, custody issues, adoptions, enforcements, probate, wills, will contests, guardianships, ad litem work, elder law, basic real estate, litigation, and personal injury. He practices primarily in the top 26 counties of the Texas Panhandle but is willing to go where the work takes him to serve his clients who also become friends.
When he is not saving the world fighting for his clients in the courtroom, he actually fights, training in MMA and earning a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu over the last 12 years and participates in powerlifting and strongman training, judging many high school and higher meets across the area and occasionally working with athletes in a coaching/mentoring capacity. He also loves shooting and hunting and attending as many music concerts as possible with acts as diverse as Metallica, Hank Williams Jr., Kid Rock, Slipknot, Chris Stapleton, Cody Jinks and many many more! When not engaging in any of these activities or binge watching a new series or documentary, Landon enjoys spending quality time with his nieces and nephews who reside in Childress and his rescue chiweenie who adopted him by showing up at his home gym to get a workout in, El Chapo.
